Looking back at Easter 2024
Wednesday 10th April 2024
What a wonderful Easter celebration at St Winnow and St Nectan's churches this year!
Hopefully many of you had the chance to see the stunning flower arrangements at St Winnow whilst they were in their prime, but if not please look at the gallery below. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank the incredible team who created such a display.
Others of of you may have gathered at a particularly early dawn service, as Easter fell on the same day as the clocks went back! Bleary eyed, we still came and gathered in the darkness for, what many of us feel is the most spiritually uplifting service of the Church year. The breakfast of sausage and bacon rolls, and a mug of tea afterwards was most welcome and we can only thank those that provided. More people went to St Winnow at the more respectable time of 11am and raised the roof with their singing.
It seems a good time to thank everyone who helps to make St Winnow Church and St Nectan's Chapel the warm and welcoming places we all love. We are blessed to have some incredibly enthusiastic and capable people on our team, especially our fabulous churchwardens, Dawn and Nancy, Frank our Tower Captain, our organists and, of course, our clergy, Paul, Sheila and John.
